Google launches Android Market movie rentals

Google have announced the roll-out of it's Movie Rental Market on Android.

Previously only available in the US, it means Android users can now rent films at £2.49, or in some cases £3.49.  The great news is that once you have rented the movie it is valid for 30 days for you to watch - however do be aware that once you have started to watch the film you have a 48 hour window to complete it.

The marketplace initially has 1000 titles to choose from across all genre's however this will increase quickly.  Titles include the recently released Senna, Red Riding Hood, Fast Five and also Green Lantern.  Customers pay for their movies via Credit or Debit card.

In order to watch any movies you would have needed to download the Video player app to your handset.
