Android Users in the UK will now benefit from Voice Actions subject to using version 2.2 and above. This service allows the user to speak directly to the handset microphone which is then interpreted and acted upon.
The technology works simply by tapping the microphone button on the Google search box on your phone’s home screen. This brings up a “speak now” prompt, and you can instruct your handset to perform a number of tasks. So, to send a text message it is simply a case of saying 'Send Text Message...' before typing the message itself.
