HTC will be gleaming when the read the latest report from ComScore data showing that the manufacturer has secured more than 50% of the Android market in the UK, 50.9% to be precise.
This places Samsung into a clear 2nd position even with the recent explosion of the Samsung Galaxy series. In the European area (UK, Spain, Germany, France and Italy) there are now almost 20 million Android Handsets in use. The UK holds the largest volume with 6.3m users.
This means that HTC now boast 3.2m handsets in the UK with a distant 2nd placed Samsung on 1.3m users. Sony Ericsson are 3rd with 894,000 followed by LG with 220,000 and Motorola on 132,000.
The UK is different to the rest of Europe as Samsung take top spot in Spain, Italy and Germany. You can read the full report by clicking here
