Sony yesterday unveiled their latest technology - a Floating Interface.
Expected to go on sale later in the year, the Sony Xperia Sola will be the first handset to use this technology which allows the user to hover their finger over the display just like a cursor. Once the relevant link is located, it can be highlighted and users tap the screen to load the page.
One advantage of such technology is that it will remove the amount of fingerpressing on the handset which causes smudging although many people will argue that this will still happen.
The Xperia Sola will host a 3.72 TFT display, Mobile Bravia Engine, a 1GHz Dual Core Processor, a 5 megapixel camera and NFC technology. Just like the Sony Xperia S however, the Xperia Sola will launch with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and not IceCream Sandwich.
