With the New Sony Xperia S flying off the shelves we thought we would review one of the top features provided with the device - Sony Video Unlimited and Music Unlimited.
With the Premium plan, the Music Unlimited library is now your library. A catalogue of over 10 million songs featuring the latest hits and classic favourites with thousands of new songs being added weekly. Create and edit unlimited playlists. Listen to any song you want as often as you want We were encouraged to try out the app due to the 1st month being free - although we did have to register a debit card for future payments of £9.99. We found this easy to navigate on the handset.
The same account will allow you to log into the Sony's Video Unlimited App which is essentially the same idea, just for Video instead. Buy or rent movies in SD, 1080p HD or eye-popping 3D
When we first signed into the Video app, various catergories were displayed - New Arrivals, Top Sellers, Offers and Collections, Rent, Films, TV, Studio's and Channels, and What's Hot. We decided to watch a film, Final Destination 5, we could purchase or rent and with the latter costing a bargain £4 we proceeded. The Sony Xperia S asked us to download the movie, using the WIFI Connection, and this was completed in under 2 minutes.
Although pressing Play and watching the Video in HD Quality looked stunning we ultimately linked the handset to a TV via an HDMI cable and were surprised that this instantly found the correct source and displayed the film on the TV. When you try out new technology you want it to be simple, and this was.
The big decision was always, would be cancel at the end of the 30 days? On these results, No, we think it's great.
