This weekend another handset was added to the Sony Xperia range. However, this device is different - the Sony Xperia Go is a durable handset, an Android Brain in a tough shell.
Often when you think of rugged handsets, you think of large devices which you wouldn't contemplate taking out for an evening or showing your friends. This device however is different, at just 9.8mm thick you wouldn't necessarily know of its durability
The handset has been built with a scratch resistant, anti-reflection coating on mineral glass which will help when bashing around in your pocket full of coins whilst it is also water and dust resistant which we look forward to trying out.
It is also important to know that the Sony Xperia Go offers a list of features in tune with other handsets in the Xperia Range. Firstly there is a 1 GhZ Dual Core Processor elevating the device above many mid range handsets and although it launches with Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread it will receive an upgrade to 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich later in the year. The Camera is 5 megapixels and will record HD Video in 720p.
The device will come in three colours, Black, White and Yellow with the latter appearing very much like a mustard type colour rather than anything too garish. The device is expected early Q3. To view the handser in more detail please click here
