Sony have unveiled their first 'Sony' branded handset at CES 2012. The handset, named the Sony Xperia S, will have a 12 megapixel camera and a 1.5GHz Dual Core Processor.
Sony reported that the new look design will be a standard for future Sony models.
The 12 megapixel camera is a winning addition to their new handset and they have managed to retain the Exmor R technology and an impressive shutter speed of 1.5 seconds. To boost the use of the camera further is the excellent 4.3" display to view the photographs on with 1280 x 720 pixels.
Some people did wonder whether the new Sony device would come complete with Android 4.0 IceCream Sandwich however it doesn't. The Sony Xperia S is instead loaded with Android 2.3 Gingerbread however Sony have confirmed that the updte to ICS will be available later in the year.
The device will launch in March and we will provide pricing details as soon as possible. In the meantime check out the 1st video of the device by clicking here
