LG and Samsung have been gearing up for flexible screen technology and both manufacturers have been battling it out to release the first “bendy” screen mobile device. The race was won today by Samsung who unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Round.
The handset, due to be released in South Korea, has a 5.7" display and has a horizontal curve. It is understood however that Samsung do not have the capacity for large scale production of the device and this will not arrive on UK shores. Its key features include a tilt function which allows users to check information such as missed calls and battery life, even when the home
screen is off.
The device, the first in a new bendy category, features a 13 megapixel camera and weighs in at 154g.
