The main benefit of WhatsApp is that it allows a large group of people to communicate in a large closed group. However this limit has now increased.
The information, provided by techradar.com
has confirmed that a new update is now available for users on both iOS and Android, although not available on Windows and Blackberry as of yet, and has seen the limit of group users increase from 100 to 256 people.
Many people, myself included, probably can't envisage a group of more than maybe 10 people on a night out or a football squad of perhaps 20 people, so maybe the benefit will be for larger businesses, rather than small groups of friends.
WhatsApp, which has over 1 billion subscribers, was purchased by Facebook for $22 billion.
