After months of speculation Vodafone have finally today announced their 4G service. The 4G network will go live on August 29th in London only however you will be able to sign up to the new 4G price plans at Digital Phone Company from Monday 12th August.
Vodafone have invested £900m into the network and 12 other cities will benefit from this after London.
Vodafone however seem to have pulled off a unique advantage for their 4G roll-out by exclusively offering their 4G customers FREE Content in the form of Sky Sports and Spotify. Vodafone will also continue the success of their three month data test drive by allowing customers unlimited internet for the first three months.
Earlier this year after the 4G auction, Ed Richards from Ofcom stated "4G coverage will extend far beyond that of existing 3G services, covering 98% of the UK population indoors - and even more when outdoors - which is good news for parts of the country currently underserved by mobile broadband."
